Expert to address Middle East food security and the challenges of the Arab Spring, at Princeton University, 27th September 2011

Dr. Turki Faisal Al Rasheed, Chairman of Golden Grass, Inc., a leading agricultural firm in Saudi Arabia, will present ‘Running out of food in the Middle East? Food Security and the Challenges of the Arab Spring’ on Tuesday, 27th September 2011 at 4:30 pm, at Princeton University, New Jersey, USA.

Dr. Al Rasheed will give conference attendees an insight into managing and achieving food security in the Middle East, together with the related challenges; he will also look at some of the sensitive issues of the Arab Spring.

During the presentation, Dr. Al Rasheed will present Saudi Arabia’s domestic agricultural Development Strategies and the King Abdullah Initiative for Agricultural Investment Abroad. This part of the presentation will discuss the advantages and disadvantages; and opportunities and challenges besetting the Saudi government/investors and host countries.

Over the past 35 years Dr. Al Rasheed has acquired extensive expertise in managing and implementing agricultural strategies in Saudi Arabia and abroad; and has been invited to give many presentations in relation to agriculture in countries including the United Kingdom, Europe, South America, and in the Arab World; and it is a great for him to be invited to speak at Princeton.
