“Exploring Iran & Saudi Arabia’s Interests in Afghanistan & Pakistan:

Stakeholders or Spoilers – A Zero Sum Game?”

Dr. Turki Faisal Al Rasheed will attend a CIDOB Policy Research Project Sources of Tension in Afghanistan & Pakistan: A Regional Perspective (STAP RP) will held a Round Table Seminar on Iran & Saudi Arabia which is co-hosted with Qatar University which centers on “Exploring Iran & Saudi Arabia’s Interests in Afghanistan & Pakistan: Stakeholders or Spoilers – A Zero Sum Game?”. This will held on  April, 16, 2013 at Room #111, New Library, Qatar University, Doha, Qatar.

The project’s activities include a number of series of papers, research initiatives, closed expert roundtable seminars and public conferences involving regional experts in addition to policymakers from Europe (including Norway, Spain and the EU).

In 2012, discussion events were held in Barcelona, Oslo and Brussels; and a schematic overview document and related web page, Mapping the Sources of Tension and the Interests of Regional Powers in Afghanistan and Pakistan, were launched in Brussels in December.
